Towards the Future: Commitment to Growth and Innovation
Dr. Joana Baetz, Chief Human Resources Officer of the Rhenus Group, comments on this achievement: “This recognition is not just a reflection of the hard work we’ve put into our HR practices, but also a tribute to the dedication of our employees. Our focus on fostering a positive and rewarding environment across all teams is central to our growth and success. We view this award as a confirmation that we are moving in the right direction, while also serving as an inspiration for what we can achieve moving forward. We will continue to focus on improving and evolving to ensure that our employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered.”
Focus on People-Driven Talent Development
A key strategic goal of the Rhenus Group is to establish itself as the "Employer of Choice" within the logistics sector. The Top Employer Award highlights the company's dedication to fostering a positive work environment, while focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Rhenus underscores the importance of flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes, and a supportive workplace culture.
Achievements and Recognition Across Multiple Countries
The Top Employer Award particularly highlights the Rhenus Group’s outstanding achievements in the categories of leadership, career development, and connection of business and people strategy, which often exceed the market average in industry comparisons.
The following countries stood out in this year’s Top Employer certification specifically for exemplifying Rhenus values in their daily business:
- Italy has made the Top Employer certification for the second time with the Air & Ocean division. The additional seal for the Overland division is the third award in a row showcasing an impressive six percent improvement in the talent acquisition category.
- Spain has received its second seal for the Road Freight division and particularly excelled in the areas of work environment and wellbeing, followed by sustainability, rewards & recognition and organisation & change. Committing to these areas led to Spain scoring more than ten percent above the market average in the national comparison of top employers in the logistics industry.
- The United Kingdom also enters the Top Employer-certified companies for the second time for both Road Freight and Air & Ocean divisions by receiving above-average ratings in several areas such as employee listening, sustainability, people strategy as well as digital HR.
- Germany has received its first Top Employer recognition for the entire Overland division, marking a significant achievement as the seal covers the whole division. This reinforces the company's focus on developing a supportive, employee-centered environment across all its operations.
The Rhenus Group remains committed to its core values of employee appreciation, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of its global workforce. The company looks forward to building on this success and driving further innovation in HR practices in the years to come.
