What can Instant Quote be used for?

Rhenus' Instant Quote tool can be used to calculate a price for all European Road Freight shipments, whether you're an existing customer or not. However, please note the offer is not directed towards private individuals. Those using the Instant Quote tool need to confirm they are acting for commercial purposes only. Therefore, we regret to inform you that if you are a private individual, looking to move personal goods we can not provide a quote.

Do I have to be an existing Rhenus customer to get an instant quote?

No - if you've never booked with us before you can still get an instant quote in seconds, with no obligation to signup. Enter your details, get your price, book online - simple and straightforward.

Do I have to register for a Freight Portal account in order to receive a quote and book?

No - all quotes on our Instant Quote platform can be done without registering, simply enter your shipping details, receive a quote, accept the quote and a local Rhenus team will be in touch to confirm and final details and delivery dates. No account is required.

If you already have a Rhenus Freight Portal account you can log in on the top right corner of the Instant Quote homepage. This will provide you with previous bookings, tailored tariffs and more.

Can I apply for a Rhenus Freight Portal account?

Of course. Even though our Instant Quote tool can be used without an account, having a Rhenus Freight Portal account provides several benefits, including address books, previous bookings, tailored tariffs and more.

Can I get a quote for ADR/Dangerous Goods using Instant Quote?

Yes, please select the "Does It Contain Dangerous Goods" button on step 2 of the Instant Quote - "Unit Acquisition". Once you have ticked the button you then have an option to add a UN Number. Any routes which do not allow Dangerous Goods will be either indicated at the time of quoting or after by the relevant Rhenus branch.

Can my goods be insured online?

Yes, on step 3 "Booking Process" there is an option to add freight insurance for your quoted goods. You can also read the full insurance terms and conditions under the tick box.

Is the quote I receive a confirmation of the booking?

Although with every booking request we receive we look to perform the delivery, in some cases we may be unable to proceed with the booking request. This may due to constraints with political developments, problems with customs information provided, issues with collection/delivery addresses, lack of equipment, or non suitable shipments (e.g. non-palletised goods for groupage). We will be in touch to confirm if this is the case, so you're not left in the dark.

How long does the quote last for, before it is deleted?

The data that you enter is only used to create an offer (“quotation”) and will be deleted after 30 days.

Are there any additional costs for using the Instant Quote tool?

No - the Instant Quote is completely free of charge to use. There are no hidden costs, so the cost you are quoted ("offered") will be the final price.
