Zumex® is a world leader in the design and manufacture of professional equipment for squeezing all types of fruits and vegetables. For more than 35 years, the company has been offering high-performance juicers and blenders that bring the consumption of fresh juice closer to sectors such as hotels, restaurants, and retail.

With headquarters in Valencia and subsidiaries in France, the United States and Mexico, Zumex® has a wide network of distributors that allow it to export its designed-in-Spain products to more than 100 countries.

THE CHALLENGE

The main challenge for Zumex® was to supply all the Carrefour supermarkets in France with orange squeezing machines on a weekly basis, but also to do so on the agreed dates to avoid possible penalties and discredit its brand image. The company also needed a solution that would allow it to respond to the coordination with the Zumex® technicians for the assembly and installation of the machines.

THE RHENUS SOLUTION

Rhenus has a solid presence in France, where it has centers ready to forward the merchandise. This structure allowed the operator to offer a single service for all of France, which was a differential factor with respect to other transport agencies and Zumex® valued it as the most competitive option.

To help the company successfully meet the deadlines, Rhenus chose to coordinate and control deliveries to Carrefour supermarkets in France from Valencia. This strategy has allowed Zumex® to increase its market share and consolidate itself in just two years as the leading supplier of squeezing machines in France. In fact, thanks to its collaboration with Rhenus, the company has continued to expand into other supermarket chains, allowing them to continue on their growth path, both in France and in third countries.
