Authorised Economic Operator

Types of Customs Warehouses

T.S.W. (Temporary Storage Warehouse)

Temporal bonded warehouse means a customs authorised warehouse to keep non EC merchandise for a limited period of time pending to be assigned to a definitive bonded warehouse. The maximum period of time is 45 days for ocean freight cargo and 20 days for air freight and road cargo.

L.A.M.E. (Authorised customs warehouse for export cargo)

Warehouse for the reception of the merchandise for customs clearance for exportation, justified with the certificate of receipt of entry in the warehouse.

P.B.W. (Public Bonded Warehouse)

Customs authorised warehouse controlled by customs authorities where non EC merchandise can be stocked without limitation of time, suspending the payment of duties and VAT until cargo gets finally customs cleared.

D.D.A. (Non-Bonded Warehouse)

Fiscal warehouse duly authorised by the Spanish authorities without the necessity to advance the payment of VAT at the moment of the purchase or the reception of the goods. At present, this import warehouse is used exclusively for certain goods, such as, for example, hydrocarbons.
