In contrast to traditional forwarding agents, we offer your end customers deliveries free domicile and free point of use. These are carried out in 1- and 2-man handling. Disposal of packaging material is also one of our standard services. Our portfolio includes additional services such as online appointment booking and notification in many countries. In addition, services such as warehousing and assembly of furniture, kitchens and appliances can be booked in many places.

NEW BUSINESS SEGMENT ESTABLISHED

By joining the German forwarding company Iwanter, we lay the foundation for the new Home Delivery business segment and expand our activities in trade logistics for delivery to end customers and assembly of furniture and large appliances in 2-man handling.
2010

LAUNCH OF XPRESS DIVISION

The Xpress division for ad-hoc transports is launched in 2010.
2012

ACQUISITION OF INNTRALOG

Rhenus Home Delivery acquires the furniture logistics specialist Inntralog, which specialises in the delivery of bulk goods in the B2B segment.
2014

ENTRY IN POLAND

Rhenus Home Delivery launches its activities in Poland under the company name Rhenus Delivery Services in 2014.
2016

EXPANSION IN HOPPEGARTEN

A new furniture warehouse is built: The storage capacities at the headquarters in Hoppegarten near Berlin are thus expanded by 20,000 to a total of 50,000 square metres.
2017

MARKET ENTRY IN GREAT BRITAIN

Rhenus Home Delivery enters the UK market in February 2017 with the acquisition of the British logistics service provider Network 4 Home Delivery. In addition to the headquarters in Manchester, the company also has locations in Milton Keynes and Greater London.

In Germany, Rhenus Home Delivery acquires the freight forwarder Arand, which specialises in the delivery of white goods.
2018

ACQUISITION IN THE NETHERLANDS

After five years of cooperation as a network partner, Rhenus Home Delivery takes over the Dutch freight forwarder Jos Dusseldorp. The core market of the family-run company is deliveries to end customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. With this acquisition, Rhenus Home Delivery is expanding its presence in Western Europe.

In Poland, even four new Rhenus Home Delivery warehouse centres start their operations in 2018. They cover all parts of the country – from Gdansk in the north of the country and the centrally located Lodz to Katowice in the south and Wroclaw in the west.
2019

NEW SITE IN POLAND

Rhenus Home Delivery in Poland opens a location in the capital Warsaw.
2020

OWN BRANCH IN BELGIUM

Since 2020, we have had our own branch in Mechelen and thus also in Belgium in a central location near Antwerp and Brussels.

In Poland, a new home delivery location opens in Bydgoszcz in the Polish voivodeship of Kujawsko-Pomorskie.
2021

DEPOT OPENS IN SZCZECIN

A Home Delivery depot goes into operation in Szczecin, near the German-Polish border.
2022

EUROPEAN MARKET LEADERSHIP

Rhenus Home Delivery orders 60 new e-trucks, setting the course for the massive expansion of alternative energies in our fleet.

Our second Dutch hub opens in October 2022. The logistics centre in Vianen (Utrecht) will be used for warehousing, cross-docking and delivery to the West Netherlands.

With the investment in Grupo Totalmédia in December 2022, Rhenus Home Delivery advances to become the European market leader in 2-man handling. In the first step, we take over 49.9 per cent of the shares and thus open up the Iberian market.
2023

NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN LUTTERWORTH

Rhenus Home Delivery in Belgium moves into a new warehouse in Mechelen in spring 2023 to bundle its warehouse activities in one warehouse.

The opening of a central distribution centre and training academy at Magna Park in Lutterworth near Birmingham serves to further strengthen Rhenus Home Delivery’s expansion in the UK.
