We believe in our industry's intricacy and diversity. It is our policy to employ the most qualified employees for your needs. We don't send just any transport engineer to work on your project. Making the best decision when problems arise necessitates the expertise of a situation and commodity specialist. We can cover all areas of project cargo, from hydraulic trailer operating expertise to heavy-lift port captains. We understand the commercial issues in addition to having decades of experience in transportation engineering.
Feasibility study
We provide assessments of whether certain goods can be transported, as well as various transportation methods and the maximum cargo dimensions and weights that can be carried along a given route.
The study educates the shipper on the dangers and problems that may be encountered while transporting items with unusual weights or dimensions, or to remote locations.
The findings of this test, which is usually done at an early stage, can have an impact on the final cargo design or transportation technique.
Transport consulting
Rhenus Malaysia assists you throughout the construction phase, assessing cargo lifting and lashing options at an early stage. We also assess the minimal needs for vessels, cranes, and trailers, as well as developing alternate transportation solutions.
Method statements
For all types of operations, we build and verify method statements.
A method statement is a well-organized document that lays out the entire transportation process (or sections of it) in a step-by-step manner. It includes things like lifting plans, cargo securing, risk evaluations, and other paperwork. It's also known as the "operations manual."
Quality management
In today's project logistics sector, quality management is one of the most important operations. Knowledge of the risks to be expected, as well as the development of procedures and strategies to minimize these risks to a minimum, are critical for building a safe and efficient mode of transportation.
Stowage plans
For your transportation, we produce preliminary and/or final stowage plans. Stowage plans show the cargo on board a vessel as well as the stowage place that will be used. They also show various viewpoints and decks of the ship, as well as cargo information and crane outreaches.
Lifting arrangements
Illustrations of a planned lift are called lifting arrangements. They depict the proposed operation in detail, including the best feasible outreach and lifting equipment, as well as the number of cranes and individual loads on hook. They also assess the lifting height and off-centre COG (center of gravity).
Lashing arrangements
An example and estimate of the cargo securing requirements for a certain voyage and/or load.
Acting forces, planned lashing / fastening of items, procedures, and rules and regulations are all included.
Crane and trailer simulations
The master / chief officer consults with the port captain or super cargo / supervisor. They will provide their expertise to the vessel's crew during loading, unloading, and cargo securing because they are experts in the cargo and have been briefed on the predicted loading. These are step-by-step illustrations of, for instance, the loading operation or turning of a trailer with out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo.
Mooring arrangements
Mooring arrangements and analyses are studies of the approach and mooring operation, such as for RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) operations or customized jetties, to show the planned rope arrangement and position of the barge or vessel at the quay or during ship-to-ship operations.
Port captain
The port captain or super cargo / supervisor is a consultant to the master / chief officer. Being an expert for the cargo and briefed for the expected loading, they will support the vessel’s crew during loading / discharging and cargo securing with their expertise.
Site operator
During the project, the site operator is present on site and assists with loading, discharging, and cargo management.
They will be in charge of transportation engineering as well as transportation coordination, storage, and unloading according to the customer's project timeline.
Trailer operator
The trailer operator guides the axle-lines and hydraulics on multi-axle trailers or drives or operates self-propelled trailers. They are in charge of loading and offloading trailers with hydraulics during complicated shipments or unique job site requirements.
Route survey
The route survey's goal is to locate or construct a route for a concept transportation or prior to the real transportation's implementation, taking into account bridges, overhead wires, and other impediments. It also requires tracking the transport along the road to supervise and document it, as well as turning radii en route and afterwards.
Loading / Discharging survey
These entail visiting boats or project sites to ensure that the process is carried out as efficiently as feasible. Our professionals not only document the surgery but actively participate in it so that we can ensure a smooth and quick operation with minimal hazards.
Preloading survey
This survey assesses the cargo's condition or packaging prior to loading, for example, to determine stackability / broken stowage before loading or to generate a condition report if required by any party concerned.
Damage survey
The damage survey examines all types of project cargo that have been damaged as a result of an occurrence.
The final report includes all documents and expertise.
