With more than thirty years of experience in the automotive sector in Spain, the Valautomoción Group has consolidated its position in the market as a rapidly growing company, whose activity is focused on providing services to the main suppliers in the automotive industry throughout the Spanish territory.
In 2016, Rhenus took over a majority share from Ferrostaal, the previous owner of the Valautomoción Group. Now, the logistics specialist acquired the remaining ten per cent of the shares, which were in the hands of Valero family until now.
Valautomoción's head office is located in the Valencian town of Almussafes and has other branches in the rest of Spain. However, after this acquisition process, the Almussafes installations become Rhenus Automotive's head office in Spain. The company has two plants here. One of them handles car component pre-assemblies. Apart from this, the company has a kan-ban materials supply warehouse for industrial use. Both plants are dedicated to the Almussafes factory.
As for other locations, Valautomoción Group has an assembly plant in Esparraguera (Barcelona), where assembly operations of various components are carried out for the Martorell production centre and other European plants of the same group.
In addition, in the Pedrola Industrial Park (Zaragoza), they offer assembly services and point-of-use delivery of chassis parts for the Figueruelas factory. In this location they have several production lines, some highly automated, with a team of more than 80 operators.
