The first day of the event focused on the services provided for the healthcare and pharmaceutical business areas. Discussions took place, for instance, on how pharmaceutical corporations in conjunction with certified logistics services providers can further develop the documentation of medical production in line with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) from the physical records to digital archive documents.
“When working for hospitals, we and data protection officials there are concerned to sharpen an awareness of the need to protect patient data from any outside access and introduce ideas on the business products that filing services companies can offer hospitals,” said Till-Martin Schuldt, German Manager of Rhenus Office Systems GmbH.
The focus of the meeting on the second day moved to processing customer order data and providing information security in other business areas too. In addition to the presentations, the visitors obtained practical insight into the way high-security archives function or the way that the people employed there work.
The participants at the special subject days, which will be repeated at the company’s other certified business centers during the fall, were shown how Rhenus files physical records, digitalizes them and how the destruction processes operate for data material that is surplus to requirements during guided tours. “Sector meetings like this one promote dialogue and bring together practical knowledge, so that it is possible to draw up efficient solutions,” said Schuldt.
