The family business, which was founded by Heinz Hübner in Nuremberg in 1964, developed from being a microfilm manufacturer to a scanning services provider and expert for modern document management during the following decades. The two company business sites in Eching and Nuremberg have been certified according to ISO 9001 Quality Management standards since 1994.
“In future, we’ll be able to provide even better services in the fields of digitalisation, process management and document management to another two industrial urban areas – the metropolitan regions of Nuremberg and Munich. This will open up further potential for Rhenus Docs to Data in southern Germany. mdn Hübner is also an experienced market player, for example, as a partner for helping local authorities to digitalise their services,” says Olaf Remmele, Managing Director of Rhenus Office Systems, giving the reasons for the purchase.
Rhenus Docs to Data has combined the services of IOS Informations- und Organisations-Systeme GmbH as well as Rhenus Document Services at business sites in the Hamburg region, Dortmund and Frankfurt/Main since the middle of 2019. The goal is to further develop modern and customer-oriented document processing.
“We've made significant investments in the renewal and growth of mdn Hübner, including scanner technologies and process standardisation, during the past three years. By selling the company to the Rhenus Group and its operations geared towards sustainability, we now want to set the course to secure our long-term future,” says Peter Hübner, the Managing Partner and owner of mdn Hübner.
Peter Hübner will remain in the company as the Managing Director of mdn Hübner, even after the takeover.
