Ten of the new trainees at LOXX are starting their apprenticeship as management assistant for freight forwarding and logistics services, including two dual students (Bachelor of Logistics Management). In addition, one prospective computer science expert and two prospective warehouse logistics experts are starting their vocational training.
During their apprenticeships at LOXX, the trainees regularly switch departments in order to get to know the diverse tasks involved in day-to-day logistics and to decide on a specialisation later on. In the commercial department, they learn how to deal with customers and plan truck tours throughout Europe. In the warehouse, the new employees learn how to handle goods and forklifts correctly, among other things; the prospective computer science trainee will support the in-house IT department.
‘’Every year, we are delighted when our new trainees start and we can welcome them to our team. Getting to know them personally is particularly important to us. That's why we organised an introductory day in June, even before the official start of the apprenticeships. This gave the new trainees the opportunity to get to know the company as well as each other during a rally,' explains training officer Melanie Herhold. Together with André Wehner, the training officer in the warehouse, she supports the trainees during the course of their apprenticeships.
LOXX is also looking for motivated employees from the region surrounding Gelsenkirchen for the coming year. The next application phase for apprenticeships in 2025 starts in September.
