Rhenus UK has extended its network with a new branch in Bristol to serve the southwest of England. The logistics specialist’s latest expansion is testament to its continued investment in its network to provide complete coverage for goods moving between the UK and Europe.
The new Rhenus Bristol office will serve customers across all industries and support them with setting up and managing comprehensive road freight services through the extensive Rhenus network. Central to this will be full in-house customs support, to help customers navigate import and export requirements smoothly and efficiently.
Bristol was a clear choice for Rhenus UK to set up a base in, as it is a thriving hub for businesses and is seeing growth in sectors including tech, cleantech, biotech and medtech. It’s a mecca for entrepreneurs too, in fact Bristol is the fourth most popular city for startups.
There’s a wealth of positivity among businesses in the region at present. Business West’s Quarterly Economic Survey for Q4 of 2021 found that of the 51 percent of respondents who sell internationally, 34 percent have experienced an increase in international sales in the last three months. Furthermore, 59 percent of businesses predict that their turnover will improve over the next twelve months.
Gary Dodsworth, Managing Director Road at Rhenus UK, comments: “At Rhenus we pride ourselves on working in partnership with our customers, so we can truly understand the needs of their business and provide the right logistics service to suit their operational needs. Having the right network of offices is central to this, so I’m proud we now have a base in Bristol to be closer to our customers across the southwest.”
